How does this KwikDek compare to Vinyl Decking?
A
vinyl deck is made from a type of plastic material
mixed with other particles to simulate a real wood
look. For this reason, once a vinyl deck bleaches,
it cannot be fixed. The studying we've
done on vinyl decking said that while vinyl decking
is a great idea in theory, in practice, it just
can't stay looking as good as when it was first
installed. Since KwikDek is hardwood, it can
be treated once a year to keep it looking great.
The
rich natural look and texture of wood cannot be
duplicated with plastic. It can also be sanded
and refinished should it be gouged or damaged in
some way. Also, a single square can be replaced
in minutes.
In
comparison, KwikDek™
is the cosmetic, cost-effective and EASY way to fix
the problem.
KwikDek™ is made from
genuine exotic woods, backed with a unique plastic
grid. Spacing between the wood slats permit rain to
flow through, while the plastic “feet” elevate the
wood, allowing airflow for drying.
Compared
to conventional patio replacement, a
KwikDek™ cosmetic makeover can be done much
faster and for far less money. The typical time and
labor to break up and remove old concrete, set new
forms, pour and level out cement could run thousands
of dollars and take several days. With KwikDek™
you can save at least half of the expense, and be
ready to entertain on your new surface in an hour
or two.
Living
in a rental? KwikDek™
snaps apart as easily as it snaps together. Take
KwikDek™ with you when you move. Try that with
a concrete pad or wood deck!
The
Interlocking tabs make installation almost as easy
as "child's play". You need only the skills
you learned as a kid playing with Legos™
and Lincoln Logs™.
